As a first time visitor to Taiwan, I was encouraged to stay in Zhongli to be closer to my family who was hosting my mom and I. My mom's cousin recommended two hotels, of which Hotel Zhongli Zhongzheng was one of the options, and highly recommended it because of its excellent location in town and proximity to the metro. He was absolutely correct! Our three night stay was exceptional! The front desk staff greeted us with warm welcomes and provided assistance openly and without hesitation. "Angelo" was the main contact for most of our stay and he provided exceptional service. He informed us about transportation, provided sightseeing options, and accommodated us when we needed to extend our stay by an additional night. Although we could not stay in the same room, he put us in a room that was a deluxe room with a larger bathroom and more modern feel. It was definitely worth the repacking and room change. Additionally, because we had to change rooms, he offered us breakfast coupons for the breakfast buffet. What amazing service! The dining room staff even allowed my cousin and his family to sit in with us in the dining room on our final morning., even though they had brought breakfast for us to eat in the room together. The metro and bus station is right behind the hotel and it was so convenient for us to take day trips to Taipei! It was extremely helpful. The surrounding area of the hotel is filled with many different cultural restaurants, stores, and bars. Many different The hotel itself hosts a handful of Japanese restaurants and vendors. I realized that the area is filled with different Asian cultures: Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, etc. There is a shopping street one street over from the hotel. Extremely convenient! Exceptional older hotel with amazing staff and service!

This hotel was amazing. Easily a 3 star experience at a 2 star price. While it is obviously an older hotel, the staff has maintained it meticulously. There are a number of tastefully adorned common spaces. The rooms are much larger than you would expect. The bed is conformable. The furnishings and lighting are elegant, and the location is great (right next to the train station). It almost feels like one of those old world hotels that itinerant writers and artists might live in for months on end.

We enjoyed staying here. It was the convenient location from the stations and city, big room and bathroom, daily house keeping, and easy check-in and out by kiosk. Using the kiosk for check-in and out, we didn't contact or greet the hotel staff unless we went for an ask at the reception that felt a bit cold. However, it was okay if you don't mind and it was not uncomfortable either. Thank you so much :)

The staff are amazing. We had to change our room, they sorted it and upgraded us to another at no extra charge. We were here a week before and my wife had forgot her sweater in the breakfast room. This visit, I checked if they’d found it, and they had. They have a lost items area. Very close to the station too.

The hotel was a little old-styled but we luv the big, quiet room. The bathroom even had an intercom telephone. The staff (available 24 hrs) kindly upgraded us to a high floor room which has an excellent view of the town. It was a 5 min walk from the railway station and near to food and amenities.
